BASSETERRE – Aaron Jones hit a boundary-studded century to lead a fightback for champions Barbados against Guyana on the second day of their first-round WICB Under-19 match yesterday.
Jones stroked 143 that included 22 fours in helping Barbados to reach 305 in response to Guyana’s 234 at Warner Park.
It was a satisfactory total for the Bajans who started the day on 53 for three.
Barbados pressed their claims for victory by reducing Guyana to 29 for four at the close, leaving the opponents trailing by 42 ahead of the final day. (HG)
