Cometh the crisis, cometh DLP

THE CURRENT economic crisis may be just what the Democratic Labour Party (DLP) needs to prove its worth, a church minister told the party’s annual conference yesterday.
“Every civilization that has survived has faced challenges and we must face them head-on,” said Reverend Paul Watson of the Wesleyan Holiness Worship Centre at Massiah Street, St John.
“We need economic and moral challenges to survive and maybe this party needs challenges  to survive, too.
“If not, it may get fat and contented and rest on the laurels of people like Errol Barrow and take things for granted. The DLP will know its true friends from this crisis.”   (CA)
