School shopping trends changing

With under three weeks to the start of the new school year, parents are taking to stores in Bridgetown to get uniforms, books, shoes and other items for their children.
Yesterday, several stores were busy, with parents and children buying or checking out school supplies.
There were some complaints about the prices but parents said they would buy the items since they were necessary.
At F. W. Woolworth & Company store manager Martin Bryan said the past few years the majority of shoppers turned up closer to the end of the holiday period. However, he noted that last weekend was the busiest so far and the shopping caught the store by surprise. (LK)
