Five years for burglar

OMAR RICARDO BEST was sentenced to five years in jail for burglary yesterday when he reappeared in the  No. 2 Supreme Court.
Best, of 2nd Avenue, Vauxhall, Christ Church, was back before Justice Margaret Reifer for sentencing after he had pleaded guilty, at an earlier Session of the Continuous Sittings,  to five counts of burglary and one count of entering a house with intent  to steal.
Five other matters  were taken into consideration  at his request.
Justice Reifer  imposed five-year sentences on each  count of burglary  and the count of attempted burglary,  but ordered that  the 24 days he  had spent on  remand be taken  into onsideration.
Best will serve the remaining four years, 341 days in prison. (HLE)
