THE DEATH OF a cherished family member can have long-lasting effects on family and friends. When the loss is as a result  of a suicide, the impact  can be devastating.
Relatives and friends were shocked on Friday to learn  that 18-year-old Chevonne King, the mother of a five-month-old son, had apparently taken  her own life.
The body of King was discovered hanging at her Black Rock, St Michael home by her best friend.
Her father, David Greenidge, attended a CITA radio event in Queen’s Park, The Alabaster Box Night Of Prayer, hours later seeking answers to the seemingly senseless death  of his daughter.
“She was a grade A student; very outstanding,” he told the SUNDAY SUN as he visibly fought with the grief.
