GOD WILL RESTORE the people of this land when they remove the strange gods from among them and depart from sin.
That’s the message from Reverend Grace Showan of Grace Evangelistic Missions based at Kingsland, Christ Church.
Stating that “God has grown weary with a form of godliness and the hearts of the people have wandered far from Him,” Showan said.
“The Lord’s glory must be upheld and placed in the centre of the will of the people.
“God says my people are losing hope and this is not of me. He says ‘My power cannot be denied. Trust me and acknowledge my work for my Kingdom is established with all power and all glory’.”
Showan added: “The hearts of people are far from God and the country cannot survive the current recession without first acknowledging God as Lord and Saviour.
“The strange gods are in the monuments which (the people) have built. Remove them and reverence the true and living God.”
She further said the Lord showed her “Barbados is becoming a centre of sin and the country must take refuge in God’s mighty Word if the nation is to be spared”.
“God says, ‘reject me and the economic pressures wrought by the hand of man will continue’. The people of this land have chosen to obey deceit rather than truth. They lifted up the rule of man rather than give heed to my Word. They became weakened and strive against good and this cannot stand.”
She further added during a recent message which she said was a word to the nation: “God says the leaders of the land have become cruel without caring for the needs of my people. He will defend them by His mighty hand. The widows and the fatherless, the poor and those of His children without food and labour have called and He will reveal Himself mightily in the land.
“He promised to establish new principles and a new name for His own name’s sake and will receive the glory.
“He says he will rebuild the land. He will replenish His people and satiate the naked soul with fullness. There will be no more barrenness.”
Showan urged Barbadians to “turn from the deceit of the wicked and run into God’s ark where can be found peace and prosperity. She also urged them to abide in Him and His Word and prosper.”
