In these challenging economic times, Barbados must rely even more heavily on its strengths, faith and resilience.
It was therefore inevitable that Starcom Network would establish a radio station dedicated exclusively to an ever growing audience who turn to God for guidance, sustenance and renewal of faith.
These sentiments were expressed by Starcom’s general manager Dominic Beaubrun during the breakfast launch of new gospel station LIFE 97.5 FM at Sugarland Gardens, Haymans, St Peter, yesterday.
The station, which was turned on at midnight on August 10, broadcasts a variety of programming, including news, sport, public affairs content, children’s programmes, and contemporary and traditional gospel music.
Speaking to a crosssection of Christian community leaders, Beaubrun said his network felt that the religious community’s listenership diet was being under-served and the introduction of a product like LIFE 97.5 FM would go a long way toward addressing the programming shortfall. (AH)
