POLICE CONDUCTED a drug operation on Heywoods Beach, St Peter, yesterday and seized a motorboat named De Marco and a crocus bag of contraband suspected to be cannabis.Unconfirmed reports suggest that someone was spotted throwing bags into the sea from the boat before police were called to the scene.Last night police public relations officer Inspector David Welch confirmed that police are investigating a suspected drug landing and have a boat in their possession but no one has been arrested in the matter. He said police are investigating this matter. (SP)
