PRELIMINARY REPORTS indicate a fight between two women at Cheapside Market, the City today ended with both of them needing hospitalization.
When the DAILY NATION team arrived around 5:15 p.m., an ambulance – reportedly with one of the women on board – and a police car were parked in front of the market. There were also three officers wearing bullet proof vests.
Detectives were seen at the scene shortly after and they took a report from the officers.
Another ambulance soon arrived with siren blaring and sped off through town, presumably towards the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, closely followed by the other ambulance and the police escort. (CA)
