Grantley Adams International Airport became the meeting place of two major medallists yesterday.
Olympic triple jump gold medallist Christian Taylor came back to the land of his parents to give motivational talks, but he was the one receiving words of inspiration following an impromptu encounter with Barbadian legend Jim Wedderburn.
And the man who won Barbados’ first Olympic medal in the 4×400 metres in 1960, was only glad to share words of wisdom with the American champ (right), who lapped up every word alongside his grandfather Grantley Taylor (centre).
