The beautification of the Constitution River Redevelopment Project continues with the planting of trees, shrubs and grass along the length of the walkway.
Over the past few weeks a six-man team of landscapers from Nature Care Barbados has been planting palms, New Zealand fir and Neem trees along with carpet daisies and zoysia grass in the area while plumbers installed the irrigation system.
Supervisor of Nature Care Barbados Steve Goodridge said each bank will take at least a month to complete. The work being done is Phase II of the Constitution River redevelopment project which is not only intended to beautify, but also control flooding.
The beautification will include the construction of new embankments, a mangrove and benches along the banks.
