The business, which was born out of the merger of Carib Business Computing & MW Consulting Inc., was officially launched at the Lloyd Erskine Sandiford Centre recently before representatives of several leading companies.
The merger of the two well established Barbadian businesses has provided customers with a highly respected partner that boasts more than 35 years’ experience in providing solutions in the software services sector.
Orchid Software Solutions is an internationally recognized business partner of Sage North America, and offers computerized accounting and business solutions through a highly qualified team of professionals who won internationally acclaimed Sage awards in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
Sage is a world-leading supplier of accounting and business management software to start-up, small, and midsize businesses.

Operations director Martin Williams, also a programmer, added that the products offered by the company provided local and regional companies with greater security, efficiency and cost savings.
He said the company brought a competitive advantage which would translate into significant savings for customers in a highly competitive market.

The directors pointed out that companies around the world were generally challenged to identify and partner with professionals who understood both information technology and accounting issues and processes.
However, they noted that this was a strength of the new company which would make it competitive in the hemisphere.
“We straddle both areas of accounting and IT. We are able to understand the accounting side and translate issues from that end into IT solutions. There are a number of examples where companies were taking months to provide critical reports and once we assisted them with our software solutions and database management, we were able to produce the information in minutes,” Williams said.
