Lester Vaughan principal dies

STAFF AND STUDENTS of The Lester Vaughan School were plunged into mourning following the sudden death of principal Diana Wilson.
School was suspended for the day, and staff, led by deputy principal Sonja Goodridge, is currently huddled in the staff room as they try to come to grips with the loss of Wilson, who was at the school since April 2006.
Goodridge said Wilson met with staff for a mid-term meeting yesterday and she “appeared to be fine”. Officials from the Ministry of Education, pastors and counsellors from several other schools are on hand to help staff and old scholars deal with their grief.
There is no word as to when school will resume at the St Thomas institution. (YB)
