MANAGEMENT OF AT LEAST one hotel is expressing tremendous disappointment that the Rihanna concert planned for next week has been called off.
In an unexpected announcement that caught many by surprise yesterday, officials of Live Nation Global Touring, a United States-based live events company promoting the Rihanna Diamonds World Tour, said it was postponing the superstar’s performance in her homeland.
Renee Coppin, general manager of Pirates Inn, Hastings, Christ Church, told the SATURDAY SUN: “Like everyone else we are tremendously disappointed at the postponement of the concert. We have bookings in for the period of the concert and obviously I’m anticipating that [those bookings] will be cancelled.”
The hotelier, who is also president of the Intimate Hotels Group, expressed concern about the impact of the concert’s postponement.by GERALYN EDWARD
