MORSET “STELLA” CLARKE was feeling a sense of emptiness yesterday as she shed tears for the loss of a son shot on his doorstep Sunday night.
Police said Ronnie Omar Clarke, 35, of Crusher Site Road, St James, was sitting outside his home when he was shot several times, sustaining gunshot injuries to the left arm and right thigh. He ran from there to an area on Prospect Road where he collapsed and died at about 11 p.m.
At his home yesterday morning, his mother was being comforted by family and friends.
Clarke said she was shocked when she saw the last of her two children lying dead on the road, when only two hours earlier he had been sitting in a chair in her living room.
“It painful for me and it got me feeling so empty,”?she said. “I feeling real empty inside. I left him in this chair last night. I didn’t know that the next time I would be seeing him that he would be dead.”
