Police investigations into an alleged sex act between two schoolchildren highlighted on Facebook and in the SATURDAY SUN should be concluded by Wednesday.
In a Press release yesterday, Acting Assistant Commissioner of Police Mark Thompson said the force had launched “three parallel and simultaneous investigations into the matter that was reported”.
On October 26, the SATURDAY SUN carried a report based on the Facebook posting of an apparent cellphone video of two students having sex in a classroom.
The report caused an outcry, with some members of the public questioning the failure to monitor students and the breach of the no-cellphone rule at school. Others were critical of the individual(s) who first posted the video and those who continued to circulate it on the Internet. (PR)
