National?junior champ Shaquille Lavine will start as favourite to win this year’s Tiger Malt Mr Schoolboy title slated for Friday evening at The Lester Vaughan School in St Thomas.
The Mr Schoolboy competition will be the major showpiece of the Bodybuilding And Miss Body Fitness Championships that are attracting competitors from several secondary and primary schools.
Latisha Corbin will be looking to repeat as Tiny Tots champion in the girls’ 6-8 bodybuilding while holding off her Wilkie Cumberbatch schoolmate Tichina Burgess once again.
Charice Taylor of Deighton Griffith will also be hoping to repeat in the Junior Girls (9-11) Fitness, with last year’s runner-up Laila Chin of Bay Primary keen to move up one spot.
Alexandra 14-year-old third former Sankara Price plans to defend her Juniors Girls (12-15) title while Mary Fraser will be defending the Upper Juniors Girls title. (MK)
