The cup pf dreams fulfilled some children’s wildest dreams yesterday.
Football’s oldest trophy, the English FA Cup, made a historic stopover to one of the country’s older primary schools, Westbury, much to the delight of 500 cheering schoolchildren in the St Michael district.
And Wigan Athletic owner Dave Whelan (left) got a first-hand look at just how much that opportunity meant to these children after witnessing the reaction of these Westbury girls when they were allowed to touch the 149-year-old trophy.
