BWA’s say

Share post:

This strike is not our fault.
That, essentially, is the Barbados Water Authority’s (BWA) position on the industrial action taken by workers represented by the Barbados Workers’ Union (BWU) since Thursday.
The BWA said the BWU had failed to give proper notice and dismissed suggestions that it was ignoring the union.
The statutory corporation said it was “prepared to continue negotiations to the extent that it is clear about the reason for the strike and has proper notification”.
It was the BWA’s first comment since workers walked off the job at the authority’s various locations. (SP)
