Test recall for Kraigg

Despite?a?late call-up to replace the injured Chris Gayle for the three-Test cricket series against?New Zealand, Kraigg Brathwaite says he is ready for the challenge as he has been playing cricket for the entire year.
“I am very happy and looking forward to it. Yes, I have been working hard for the entire year and I have been consistenly scoring runs in every competition I play in,” Brathwaite told SUNSPORT in an interview at Queen’s Park yesterday where he represented his local club Wanderers in a Sagicor Super Cup match against Super Centre Spartan.
The selection is an early birthday gift for Brathwaite, who turns 21 next Sunday and he has set himself an immediate goal of registering his maiden Test century in New Zealand.
He has enjoyed a bumper year with the bat, amassing 683 runs from seven matches with three centuries at an average of 75.89 in the Division One Championship for newly promoted Wanderers.
