The “Strikers” were out in full force at the National Stadium last night.
Led by sensational performances from Diquan Adamson and Jabarry “Papi” Chandler respectively, LG Strike Force and TS Strikers booked their spots in the finals of the LIME Pelican Football Challenge with contrasting victories.
In the night’s first game, Adamson scored a hat-trick to help Strike Force thrash Barbados Steelworks Esso Oistins Top Bay Settlers 5-1 in a lopsided contest.
Chandler then netted a brace, as TS Strikers earned a hard fought, thrilling 2-1 encounter against Bajan Pride, in a match which had to be decided in extra-time.
The two teams will battle for the first prize of $100 000 when the finals are held on Saturday, Independence Day at the National Stadium. (RB)
