NATION adds broadcasts to news package

NATION NEWS is now being broadcast.
The inaugural broadcast of NationNews Television was launched tonight, exactly 40 years after the first edition of the NATION newspaper.
Editor-in-chief Roy Morris said this was in keeping with the company’s slogan Your News, Your Time, Your Way, providing readers with the news on the platform they desire.
“After 40 years we are strong on tradition, but we are also very cognizant that we are part of a rapidly changing world. We recognize that you expect us to provide you with your news when you want it, where you want it, using the device with which you are most comfortable,” Morris said.
“Today, we launched NationNews TV as yet another avenue, but this is just another beginning. We have a lot more coming. Please share with us your feedback as we strive to serve you better.”
Veteran Barbadian journalist Bertram Niles presented the first newscast which was done using the skills of budding entrepreneurs Kishmar Shepherd and Damien Pinder of Nu Visual Media.
Managing editor Eric Smith, who spent about a decade in broadcast journalism, is overseeing the project.
