Suspect assisting police, woman stabbed

A SUSPECT is in custody assisting police with investigations into a stabbing incident which occurred in Checker Hall, St Lucy today.
Around 5:55 a.m., 42-year-old teacher Lorna Jordan of the same address, was attacked by a man dressed in black when she was unlocking the door of the Pre-school there.
She received stab wounds about the body and sought refuge at a nearby house. She was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.
The assailant escaped. (PR)
