Dear Christine,
Christmas will soon be here and unless there is some miracle waiting in the wings, my grandchildren and I will not be able to enjoy a good season.
Already, we are having lots of challenges making it on a day-to-day basis, with little food and many needs.
The children need clothing and we need food. It’s as simple as that. Their mother is slightly mentally challenged and it has been hard for her to find a job.
I can no longer work and my son is the only one who is trying to keep the family together.
Christine, I am pleading for some assistance and asking your readers if they can help make Christmas a special time for my two grandchildren – a boy aged 13 and a girl aged 7.
Christine, I would be most appreciative of any assistance, even if it is just food items for the time being.
Thank you and God bless.
– P.S.
Dear P.S.,
I hear your plea for help and I have printed your letter in the hopes that someone who understands your needs will respond and give you that much needed assistance.
This is the time of the year when many individuals like yourself are seeking aid. It is not possible to meet the various needs without getting some public assistance.
– CHRISTINE
