People under age 25 make up 65 per cent of Co-operators General Insurance policyholders who are involved in accidents.
This was revealed by company general manager Anton Lovell who said the company recorded about 2 000 accidents a year.
“When we check accident records over the past three to four years, we recognize in the majority of accidents young people 25 years and under are involved,”?he said.
“And the accidents not only involve young drivers but occur during the night, which [suggests] that perhaps they are partying, out late, tired and drinking.”  (LK)
