Prizes for top students

Almost 300 students copped prizes when Harrison College held its annual speech day and prize-giving ceremony yesterday.
Among the top achievers was Shebree Broomes (left), here with dad Harold and mum with the same name Shebree Broomes. The outstanding student gained eight Grade 1 certificates in the Caribbean Secondary Education Certificate (CSEC) exams. At least nine students had eight or more Grade 1 passes.
Mario Burke, a 100 and 200 metres runner, and Shannon Green, who throws the discus and shot put and plays basketball, were named most outstanding sportsman and sportswoman, respectively.
