HAMILTON, New Zealand (AP) – Ross Taylor reached his third century in consecutive cricket Tests before being dismissed for 131.
New Zealand were bowled out for 349 just on tea tonight on the third day of the third Test against the West Indies.
Taylor followed his unbeaten 217 and 16 not out in the drawn first Test at Dunedin and his 129 in the second, which New Zealand won by an innings and 83 runs, with his 11th Test century, bringing his tally of runs in the three-Test series to 497.
Off-spinner Sunil Narine took six for 91 to wrap up the New Zealand innings and give the West Indies a lead of 18 runs after they made 367 batting first.
Narine bowled 42.3 overs, 17 of which were maidens, and included the wickets of Kane Williamson (58), Brendon McCullum (12), Peter Fulton (11) and tail-enders Tim Southee (18), Ish Sodhi (9) and Neil Wagner (22).
Taylor became only the second New Zealander after Mark Burgess to score hundreds in three straight Tests, though Burgess achieved the feat in Tests against Pakistan in 1969, England in 1971 and the West Indies in 1972.
