Two new babies, more on the way

LITTLE ABRIELLE Rebekah Ramsay is the first baby to be born this year.The six pound eight-ounce bundle came into the world at 9:54 a.m. and is the pride of joy of parents Monique and Rafael Ramsay and the staff at Bayview Hospital.She is the first daughter for the Ramsays who are also the proud parents of Malakai and Josiah, who are four and two, respectively.It is the first time in many years that Bayview has had the honour of delivering the first New Year’s baby. One other child is expected to be delivered at Bayview today.Kristina Carrington, 24, was the first at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital when she gave birth to her second child at 10:24 a.m. Zakiyah Ayeisha Reid weighed seven pounds, two ounces.One other mother was in delivery, five were in labour and one was at the admissions stage.
