Barbados cricket has a three-point plan of regaining regional supremacy in next month’s NAGICO Super50 Cup in Trinidad & Tobago.
That plan, as outlined by the Barbados Cricket Association’s director of coaching Henderson Springer, is to continue net sessions with the support of bowlers from the BDF Sports Programme and other youth players, get in on-field scenarios as well as game simulations and to play some warm-up matches against the Combined Colleges and Campuses.
Springer was speaking to WEEKEND Sport yesterday at Kensington Oval where the team was engaged in a net session.
“The team just took a short break over the Christmas period and we started back training from New Year’s Day. Presently we do not have any injury worries and once we achieve our three-point objective we expect to perform well in T&T,” said Springer.
