Flower show opens at church

Bright red ginger lilies, pale pink roses and yellow carnations ornately adorned In Quires and in Places at the St Peter Parish Church, marking the start of its annual flower show and garden festival.
The event adopted a celestial theme for this year’s instalment, highlighted by the heavenly altar display at the Queen’s Street, Speightstown church.
Rector Canon Peter Haynes said the flower show featured arrangements from designers across the island as well as four from England.
