After being closed for 18 months, Almond Beach Village, St Peter, is set to receive its first guests this weekend.
Groundsmen and other staff were busy yesterday putting finishing touches to rooms and other areas of the plant in preparation for the soft reopening. About 40 staffers, some of whom are former employees of Almond Beach Village, are expected to be on the job in the first instance.
Guests will occupy rooms on Block 7 and have a choice of three pools, meals in The Reef restaurant and activities in the kids’ area. They will also have the option of the restaurants and other facilities at the nearby Sugar Cane Club, which is under the same management. (YB)
