Guyanese charged with drug offences

A GUYANESE MAN has been charged with a number of drug offences.
Uche Omotosho Adesima Blair, 42, of Buxton Village, East Coast Demerara, Georgetown, was arrested and charged by members of the Drug Squad for possession of 39 pounds of cannabis, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation.
According to police public relations officer Inspector David Welch, Blair arrived by air from Guyana yesterday about 4.30 p.m. and was interviewed by Drug Squad personnel after clearing Immigration. 
He was then referred to Customs, where a search of his luggage found the illegal drug in 26 packages.  
Blair is expected to appear at the District ‘B’ Magistrate Court tomorrow. (PR)
