Members of the St Michael Central community took part in old time games and some not so old ones when its small business committee held its first Errol Barrow Fun Day at Buckingham Road, Bank Hall, yesterday.
The young and the old tried their hands and their feet at hopscotch, 100-metre dashes, egg and spoon races and road tennis, while all partook of the food that was on hand at Moore’s Shop, venue for the fair.
“We brought back hopscotch because when we were young we used to do a lot of hopscotch so we’re trying to bring back those events and bring a community spirit back to the area,” said Sherphine Howell, chairperson of the small business committee.
