Pine Hill St Barnabas netballers, past and present, put on a fine display of passing and shooting as part of St Barnabas Church’s 175th anniversary celebration yesterday.
The past and present players were divided into two teams, Blues and Yellows.
Although added years and pounds may have slowed the speed of the past stars there were no diminished skills in terms of the nifty passes and clinical finishes by the likes of long-serving coach Margaret Cutting and former outstanding Barbados shooter Sonia Banfield who kept the score ticking at the other end.
Entertaining commentary by church rector Reverend Mark Harewood and the supportive applause and cheers of the large crowd made the final score of 26-19 to the Blues over the Yellows meaningless.
Spectators loved every moment of the game.
