ATHLETES?got a chance to sprint, run distances races, clear hurdles, jump and throw when the Charles Walcott Foundation staged the fifth edition of the Joseph Payne Memorial Classic at the National Stadium yesterday.
Even though it is still early in the new track and field season, a number of meet records were broken.
One of the record-breakers was Ariel Burke (pictured), who seized the opportunity in her first high jump competition of the year to set a new meet record of 1.50 metres in winning the Under-17 Girls’ event.
