THE?WEST?INDIES?are not in any immediate danger of losing their Test status or being relegated.
The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB)?will also remain a full member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) with entitlement to all governance rights like other full members.
These decisions were agreed to in principle after radical proposals, initially put forward by the English, Australian and Indian cricket boards in an attempt to seize power, were toned down on the first day of a board meeting of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in Dubai yesterday.
In a statement following the meeting, the WICB?explained why it had reserved public comment on the draft proposals until it was able to engage in discussions with other full members and receive a more detailed and thorough presentation at the ongoing ICC meeting.
