BARBADIAN Biggie Irie has been named among the 11 artistes who will battle Machel Montano in the finals of the 2014 Digicel International Groovy Soca Monarch Competition in Trinidad and Tobago.
The competition, which will be held on Fantastic Friday, February 28, includes other finalists in Farmer Nappy, Kerwin Du Bois, Destra, Saucy, Skinny Fabulous, Cassi, Tallpree, Mr Famous, Erphaan Alves and Ravi B.
The finalists were announced earlier tonight along with those for the Play Whe International Power Soca Monarch Competition.
They are Mr Killa, Iwer George, Destra, Snakey, Devon Matthews, Patrice Roberts, Nadia Batson, Ann-G and Lyrikal.
Machel Montano and Super Blue are the defending champions in that competition.
