Senior gynaecologist Dr Wayne Welch is back on the job.
High Court Justice Margaret Reifer ruled Tuesday in favour of an injunction filed by Welch against the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH) and ordered that the consultant be immediately allowed to resume his practice.
Welch, of Mount Wilton, St Thomas, who is now suing for damages, was suspended from carrying out his duties at the QEH after he was criminally charged with assaulting three women over a year ago.
But in her judgment revoking the suspension, the judge said when one considered the balance of justice, Welch’s injunction against the QEH should be granted.
