THE NUMBER of road fatalities in Barbados is now at five.
Dead is 39-year-old Bipin Thawani of West Ridge, Brittons Hill, St Michael.
Reports from the Royal Barbados Police Force indicate that Thawani was the lone occupant of a car which ran off the road around 2:45 a.m. today.
The accident occurred on the Barrow Section of the ABC Highway, just west of the Graeme Hall roundabout. The vehicle ended up in a ditch to the left of the highway.
Thawani was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations are continuing.
