Three charged for drug haul off Harrison’s Point

THREE MEN are expected to appear in the Holetown Magistrates Court today to answer charges related to the seizure of almost 600 pounds of marijuana off Harrison’s Point, St Lucy.
Police have arrested and charged Damien Omar Haynes, 35 years of Risk Road, St James; 38-year-old Fabian Antonio Stanford of Mount Standfast, St James and 32-year-old Rommel Andre Gittens of Shorey Village, St Andrew.
They have been jointly charged with possession, trafficking, possession with intent to supply and importation of 593.6 pounds of marijuana seized in a joint operation off the coast last Saturday.
A fourth man, who was shot during the exercise, remains hospitalised. (SAT)
