A CENTURY by Kirk Edwards helped Barbados to 275 for six at the close of play in their Regional 4Day cricket match against Jamaica at Sabina Park.
Edwards scored 105 off 175 balls, batting for more than three hours. He stroked ten fours and four sixes and had an 89-run partnership with Kraigg Brathwaite (29) after Omar Phillips faced one ball and was lbw to Jerome Taylor.
Edwards scored 109 against Combined Campuses and Colleges in the second round of matches.
Shane Dowrich chipped in with an unbeaten 40 and fast bowler Jason Holder was still batting, giving good support with 18 as Barbados look to pose an imposing first innings score.
Other useful contributions came from Carlos Brathwaite, who scored 36, and Jonathan Carter with 22.
Spinner Nikita Miller took three for 73, claiming the scalps of Kraigg Brathwaite, Carter and Roston Chase, who scored 13. (SAT)
