EVERY TWO YEARS, the Ursuline Convent School welcomes the public inside as it hosts open day activities.
This year the theme was It’s A Small World and principal Kim Somerville said they focused on all the different nationalities which made up the school.
“We chose countries from around the world where we had students. We chose around 11 countries and each class level worked on a project related to that country,” she said.
Somerville said the project was done by the primary department of the school, called St Angela’s, and included models, food, dance, fashion, perfumes and more.
“The children had a lot of fun and we had fantastic parental support. The teachers worked very hard and it was an interesting way to learn about the countries,” she said.
