Sixty Cub Scouts are a step closer to completing their preparations for an Easter Camp, starting on Friday, thanks in part to a monetary contribution from Cave Shepherd & Co. Ltd.
Director of card services for Cave Shepherd, Alison Browne-Ellis, presented the donation to cub scout leader Vernette Harris of All Saints Primary School, St Peter.
She noted that Cave Shepherd continued to pay keen interest in supporting primary schools through various outreach activities and scouting was an excellent development programme because of its focus on forming and developing good character and citizenship among young males.
Cub leader Vernette Harris said this year’s theme of Together Forever; Together We Grow would incorporate activities focusing on demonstrating and fostering strong teamwork skills, when cub scouts from 11 schools within the Northern District join their All Saints counterparts for the three-day camp.
“We are indeed looking forward to having a great time at Camp,” Harris said.
