HIS ASHBY LAND, Christ Church home was the place for the penultimate farewell to Gregory Cox.
Affectionately known as Jacob Moses, the 13-year-old lost his life after he was crushed between a fishing boat and the Oistins Jetty on Sunday March 30.
Solemn tears were quietly shed as those gathered shook their heads in disbelief.
Schoolmates from the Princess Margaret Secondary, neighbourhood friends and workers at the Berinda Cox Fish Market – which was named after his great grandmother, all gathered just outside the Christ Church home, where he lay in repose for two hours. Mourners were also able to sign a condolence book.
Cox’s funeral will be held tomorrow at the Church of Christ in Oistins, Christ Church. (LW)
