THE PINELANDS CREATIVE Workshop (PCW) is utilising technology to assist the island’s children in their preparation for the Barbados Secondary Schools Entrance Examination also known as the 11-Plus.
In collaboration with the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB) and Aries Technologies Inc, they have put together a computer program to gauge the weaknesses of participating children before the May 6 exam.
Chief executive officer of the Pinelands, Rodney Grant said the pilot project will include students of Grantley Prescod and St Matthew’s primary schools.
He said the program was an assessment which also provided teachers and parents with information relating to the gaps in the children’s education and as such, helped ensure no one was left behind. (CA)
