Former champions Barbados finished second at the Caribbean Netball Association Jean Pierre Under-16 Netball Tournament in Antigua.
In the final match tonight, Barbados defeated St Lucia 33-19, leading all quarters 7-4, 16-10 and 22-14.
Shakeillia Smith scored 15 goals from 24 attempts, Zakiya Kirton 13 from 18 and Sheniqua Thomas five from eight.
St Lucia’s Kamala Mangal shot 18 from 21 and Rochelle Etienne put in the other goal, taking three attempts in the match.
Barbados lost one match to champions Jamaica, who played unbeaten.
Next year’s tournament will be held in St Lucia. (SAT)
