CHURCHES ACROSS Barbados left their pulpits and pews and hit the streets this morning in celebration of Palm Sunday.
It commemorated the triumphal entrance of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem the week before His death and resurrection. The crowds greeted Him by waving palm branches and covering His path with them.
Many Christian churches marked the occasion by walking the streets with palm branches in hand.
Western Light Church of the Nazarene in James and St Leonard’s Anglican Church in the City were among two of the churches which expanded their Palm Sunday march this year to cover more ground to reach greater numbers of people. (CA)
