THERE IS A SAYING that two heads are better than one. In the case of artists Dianne Walcott and Ellon Lewis of Eljodii Studio Gallery, this saying is true.
Walcott and Lewis are described in the artistic world as “The Magnificent Duo,” a name attached to them since their trip to China in 2011. Their works of sculpture are one of a kind, and are at times intentional or spontaneous.
Establishing a niche market for unique, exquisite, extraordinary ceramics or Bole Terra Rosa ceramic sculpture, the duo’s goal is to promote the use of the Scotland District clay, and to exhibit internationally. Their paintings are also symbolic, filled with rhythm, colour and form.
