Inniss building strong community

Building that community spirit.
That, says Minister of Industry and Commerce Donville Inniss, is the motive behind his annual picnic in St James.
“We’ve been doing this event here at Wanstead Hill since around 2009,” Inniss said. “We thought that this is one of the most beautiful open areas around Barbados. It is certainly accessible. There are some things we want to do like get permanent bathroom facilities, proper lighting [and so on], but it’s a place where people can enjoy themselves.”
Families from around and beyond the Wanstead area were on hand yesterday, some with their kites and little ones in tow, looking to take advantage of the windy conditions on Wanstead Hill.
