DEAR CHRISTINE: Hoping to make friends with other retirees

Dear Christine,
I am interested in making male or female friends with individuals who are retired.
As you are aware, those of us who are retired usually have  a lot of time on our hands. I thought therefore that it would be a good idea to fill the gap with interesting friends.
I am a female and have been retired for the past ten years.
